Structural Design of Stainless Steel Agitation Tanks
Agitation tanks are mainly categorized into stainless steel agitation tanks, electrically heated agitation tanks (including high-temperature and asphalt-specific types), etc., and are widely used in the industrial production of coatings, pharmaceuticals, food, chemicals, pigments, and other fields.
Agitation tanks are usually made of carbon steel or stainless steel, and can be equipped with heating devices (such as jackets and coils) or cooling devices according to production requirements.
Key Components
1. Agitating Shaft: It transmits power from the motor to the agitator and must have sufficient strength. Its design must be compatible with components like the agitator, shaft seal, bearings, and couplings.
2. Shaft Seal: It is a type of dynamic seal, mainly used to maintain pressure, prevent material leakage and impurity infiltration. There are three commonly used types:
Liquid Seal: Features a simple structure with no friction, suitable for dust prevention or medium isolation under normal pressure.
Packing Seal: Easy to maintain but prone to wear, suitable for normal/low-pressure and non-corrosive materials.
Mechanical Seal: Boasts low leakage rate and long service life, applicable to scenarios involving high temperature, high pressure, corrosion, or solid-containing materials.
3. Transmission Device: Comprises components such as the motor, speed reducer, and coupling. Most devices are driven by a "motor + speed reducer" combination or a frequency conversion motor to meet the required agitation speed; the selected motor must be matched with the speed reducer.
4. Agitator (Impeller): As the core component, it is divided into two types: axial flow and radial flow. Its installation methods include top/side/bottom insertion (selected based on specific needs). The equipment can perform processes like agitation, mixing, and homogenization, and its structure and configuration can be customized.
